Get a Bag Competition

To celebrate the First Anniversary my blog, I have decided to have a competition.

Write to me or post to the blog a fun idea of something that someone might make out of trauma straps. Any idea will be accepted, practical or fantastic.

On April 1st, 2013, a winner will be selected and will receive a Tad Bag.

I am really excited to see what you come up with! Hopefully you will be excited to get your bag!

  1. Tie-dye the straps and make a baby carrier, the front pack kind that straps around the back. Oh yeah, it could happen. And a diaper bag to match.

  2. This may be a bit tricky on your part, but I would like to see a baby (infant/toddler) carrier made out of the straps. The strap buckles could be useful and the part that holds the baby could be similar to a bag. However, it’s important to keep it so the weight of the baby will be balanced and adaptable to let the newborn face inward and the older baby face outward.

I have a Moby wrap, but it’s awkward putting on with the yards of fabric and the Bjorns are way over priced. Hopefully, you can make it by this September. 😀

  3. Or one of those spider-web things they have on jungle gyms to climb on. Add some insulation and you could make a lunch box. Oh! A hammock! That would be awesome. Cushions for outdoor patio furniture. Seat covers for your car. Baskets with handles for Easter. A picnic blanket. A harness and leash for your dog. A tent. Make it waterproof by spraying some Rain-X on it. A surf-board bag that straps to your bike or car. A crab net.

Do I only get one answer?

  4. Hmmm….

Things to make trauma straps out of:
    Pot holder
    Coasters
    Trivet
    Beach towel holders
    Sleeping bag holders
    Makeup bag
    Toiletry bag
Wine case / alcohol carrying bag
    iPad cover
    Folder for work papers
    Clipboard covered in straps
    iPhone case
    Throw pillows
    BBQ cover
    Car / motorcycle cover
    …. I could go on.

Thanks for the opportunity to help recycle!

  5. Or….

Portable coffee mug sleeve like the brown ones from starbucks
    Picture frame
    Pocket knife holder
    Money clip
    Trauma shears belt clip
Yoga mat / yoga towel bag
    Truck bed tie downs
    …. 😀

  6. I could save a lot of money if you could make my daughters prom dress out of the straps–something kind of “strapy”?
